On Saturday 18 July 2026, the Luxembourg Veterinary and Food Administration (ALVA) announced the recall of Pizzolato's Spritz Apertivo 0.0 Alcohol Free due to a risk of glass breakage.

The following product has been recalled from various points of sale in Luxembourg: Spritz Apertivo 0.0 Alcohol Free, made by Pizzolato; 275 ml; with best before date 30 April 2028, and lot number: L.26113A.

According to ALVA, the risk level has been classified as "orange", indicating a moderate risk. Consumers who have purchased the affected product are strongly advised not to consume it and to return it to the place of purchase.

The food safety authority explained that, during the packaging of this batch, contamination occurred in some bottles, which may have caused secondary fermentation. This can lead to increased pressure inside the bottle and may result in the glass breaking.
