The National Youth Service (Service national de la jeunesse - SNJ) has announced that the seventeenth edition of the Nuit du Sport (Sports Night) will take place on Saturday 6 June 2026, bringing sports activities to 56 municipalities across Luxembourg.

According to the SNJ, the event follows a successful 2025 edition, which recorded the highest participation since the initiative was launched. As part of the annual event, communes work with sports clubs, sports commissions, youth centres and other associations to organise activities aimed at introducing participants to a wide range of sports and recreational activities.

More than 150 sports workshops, supervised by qualified instructors, will be offered to the public during this year's edition.

Alongside traditional sports such as karate, volleyball and table tennis, participants will have the opportunity to discover less common activities, including Bubble Ball in Larochette and Sandweiler, beach tennis in Strassen, curling in Steinsel, hobby horsing in Kopstal, aqua biking in Mersch and stand-up paddleboarding in Wormeldange.

The programme will also feature family-oriented activities, including inflatable castles, board games, slides and various obstacle courses.

No special equipment is required beyond clothing suitable for the weather and physical activity.

Participation is free of charge and registration will take place on site.
