Details:

The British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg (BCC) is organising an event about "Women in Finance: The Rise of Female Fund Managers?" at ATOZ Tax Advisers in Senningerberg on Wednesday 2 July 2025 at 18:00.

Although women remain underrepresented in fund leadership (with just 15.2% of general partners at European private equity and venture capital firms being female according to Invest Europe 2023 figures), the gap extends across asset classes. Globally, women account for only 12% of equity fund managers and 14% of fixed income fund managers (Morningstar, 2023). Yet, research suggests that female-led funds bring valuable perspectives and often demonstrate strong, resilient performance, contributing meaningfully to the evolution of the investment landscape.

The BCC Financial Services Group is bringing together female fund managers across the equities, fixed income and alternative asset classes. This panel discussion will spotlight these investment professionals who are breaking new ground across the industry. The discussion will be followed by a wine and cheese evening.

The panel speakers include: Annick Drui, Equity Fund Manager at Banque de Luxembourg Investments; Harsimar Singh, Investments - Infrastructure & Renewables at Allianz Investments Luxembourg; Saida Eggerstedt, Head of Sustainable Credit at Schroders.

Fanny Bueb, Partner of the International Tax Department at ATOZ, will moderate the discussion, which touches on the following topics:

- breaking barriers: the evolving role of women in fund management;

- the business case for gender-diverse capital leadership;

- roadmaps for aspiring female fund managers;

- insights from women allocating capital across traditional investing and impact-driven investments.

This members-only event is aimed particularly at professionals in the fund sector who are interested in gender-lens investing.

The evening will begin at 18:00 with registration. The panel discussion is scheduled to begin at 18:30. To close the evening, drinks and nibbles will be provided, as well as the opportunity to meet and discuss with fellow BCC members and guests.
