On Thursday 26 March 2026, Lart Universe Gallery held an official inauguration of a new art space and launched an international cultural project at its gallery in Luxembourg-Ville.

The event introduced the new space to the public and aimed to present a project rooted in over 50 years of artistic history.

The initiative builds on the experience of Milan-based collector and gallerist Beniamino Levi, who developed close collaborations with Salvador Dalí and helped to establish one of the most significant collections of the artist’s sculptural works.

According to the gallery, today, this legacy continues through “Art to Be Lived”, an international cultural network that connects galleries, museums and artistic spaces in cities such as Paris, Bruges, the Principality of Monaco, Shanghai and Venice, as well as other locations and projects currently under development worldwide, hosting over 100 exhibitions across 50 countries. To date it has welcomed more than twelve million visitors.

Speaking with Chronicle.lu, Martina Barbuto, Gallery Manager at Lart Universe, explained that the project aims to create spaces where visitors can experience art beyond observation, through talks, exhibitions and direct interaction with artists. She noted: “We focus on building a cultural ecosystem where people can access art through different formats, including conferences, artist talks, interviews and meet-and-greet events.

She added that the Luxembourg space will host a programme of exhibitions running from mid-April until the end of 2026, with events organised across two floors of the gallery. The first exhibition, scheduled to open on Tuesday 14 April. It will feature vernissage, attended by  Italian artist Fausto De Nisco himself, presenting a series focused on subterranean painting.

Further exhibitions planned throughout the year will present works by several international figures, including French contemporary artist Patrick Rubinstein.

Each exhibition will be accompanied by a programme of conferences and cultural events designed to encourage dialogue between artists and the public.

Martina Barbuto highlighted: “We have established a new partnership with a Luxembourg-based wine producer, which will result in the launch of a limited-edition bottle inspired by Salvador Dalí’s artistic universe. This collaboration aims to connect visual art with sensory experiences and to offer new ways for visitors to engage with culture.

She explained that this approach reflects the broader vision of “Art to Be Lived”, which seeks to create immersive environments where art, culture and lifestyle intersect. “By combining exhibitions with partnerships, events and international collaboration, we aim to position Luxembourg as part of a global network dedicated to modern heritage and contemporary artistic expression,” she concluded.
