Following the presentations to residents of the four municipalities in Luxembourg which have been ear-marked for the construction of temporary accommodations for refugees, Wednesday's government meeting agreed that the numbers to be accommodated at each of the four site will be limited to 300 per site, and that the longevity of such accommodations will be a maximum of five years.
Initially the four sites - Diekirch, Junglinster, Mamer and Steinfort - were to accommodate 300 refugees each in container accommodation units, with an option to double the capacity of each.

The Government Cabinet did, however, caveat that in an absolute emergency it could temporarily increase the capacity of a site in the medium term.
