The Luxembourg police have reported that, on Tuesday and Wednesday this past week, they have arrested 6 people in the Mertert-Wasserbillig region following raids.

After the arrests by police from Grevenmacher and a canine unit, the six were brought before a judge who heard that they has sold marijuana and other "chemical" drugs to what was described as a "youthful, mostly underage clientele" in the region. The raid had uncovered an indoor plantation with more than 50 cannabis plants, as well as €570 cash and 350 grams of cannabis products.

The police investigation had started in November 2015 and uncovered that the gang had circa 60 customers.

Five of those arrested were released on remand and one was detailed by the "Contrôle Judiciare".
