Luxembourg's Ministry of the Economy has announced an increase in the price of unleaded 95 octane petrol and unleaded 98 octane petrol.

As of Friday 4 September 2026, the price of unleaded 95 octane petrol has increased by 7.6 cents to €1.868 per litre (including VAT) and the price of unleaded 98 octane petrol has increased by 7.7 cents to €2.060 per litre (including VAT).

The price for diesel remains at €2.024 per litre (including VAT) and the price of heating oil stays at €1.510 per litre (including VAT).

Additionally, the cost of diesel for industrial/commercial and agricultural/horticultural is stable at €1.628 and €1.475 per litre respectively, while the prices for LPG and propane remain at 73.8 cents and 77.9 cents respectively. 

Fuel prices have fluctuated in Luxembourg and other countries in recent months amid the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
