On Thursday 12 March 2026, Banque Raiffeisen reported it had presented donations totalling €30,000 to six charitable organisations in Luxembourg, reinforcing its status as a cooperative, participatory and socially responsible bank.
According to Banque Raiffeisen, on Tuesday 10 March the donations were formally presented at an event which took place at the bank’s headquarters in Leudelange, in the presence of Laurent Zahles, Chairman of Banque Raiffeisen’s Management Board, as well as members of the Banque Raiffeisen Management Board: Eric Peyer, Georges Heinrich and Sandrine De Vuyst.
Banque Raiffeisen said: “This support, which comes in the year of the bank’s centenary, highlights the dedication and valuable work of the selected associations. It also reaffirms Banque Raiffeisen’s role as the country’s leading cooperative bank and its ongoing commitment to Luxembourg’s social, community, charitable and humanitarian initiatives.”
Banque Raiffeisen selected six Luxembourg charities to receive a donation of €5,000 each. This year, the following associations were selected:
- Autisme Luxembourg Asbl: based in Capellen, this foundation has been working for more than 25 years to defend and promote the rights of people with autism in Luxembourg. It works in collaboration with public services and other partners in the voluntary sector to promote the social inclusion of these individuals, who often live on the margins of society;
- Unity Foundation: founded in 1980 and recognised eleven years later as a public utility and non-governmental organisation by the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Unity Foundation focuses on empowering communities through education. It also offers awareness-raising activities on the themes of education and development, as well as spaces for reflection and exchange.
- Fairtrade Lëtzebuerg: formerly known as TransFair-Minka Asbl, this association, founded in 1992, is committed, together with its various partners, to developing fairer, more sustainable and more equitable trade between producers and workers in Asia, South America, the Caribbean and Africa, and consumers. More broadly, one of the objectives of the non-profit-making organisation is to raise consumer awareness and educate them about fair trade in order to guide them towards more responsible consumption habits;
- ALIVE + Asbl: the ALIVE concept was developed in 2015 to meet the needs expressed by the population and the environment in terms of short- and long-term assistance and care. Against this background, ALIVE offers four complementary services: home care and assistance, day care for children with special needs, individual childcare for children with special needs, and an information, consultation and meeting service accessible to anyone with special needs or requiring a diagnosis;
- Ënnerdaach Asbl: founded in 1992 and recognised as a public utility eight years later, this non-profit-making organisation aims to give a chance to people who, due to their professional, financial or family situation, are forced to live in unsanitary and inadequate housing. With 34 homes available, Ënnerdaach aims to facilitate the social integration of the people it helps and to assist them in starting afresh on a sound footing without depending on state aid;
- Singa Luxembourg Asbl: through various programmes and events, Singa aims to bring together the local population and new arrivals, thereby facilitating their adaptation and inclusion process. The association offers sporting, leisure, cultural and educational activities, as well as an Inclusion+ programme which supports new arrivals in the country, all based on active participation, the expression of talents and mutual aid.
Banque Raiffeisen noted that through its policy of donating to Luxembourg associations, it aims to recognise and support their commitment, dynamism and dedication, and said: “Although they all have different objectives, they share the common goal of providing practical and effective support to people in need. As a cooperative and socially responsible bank, Raiffeisen naturally supports this mission, which reflects its philosophy of local sponsorship.”
Banque Raiffeisen also highlighted that through their interactions with the bank, its customers and members can collect loyalty points which can then be used to make a donation to one of the associations supported by the bank.
