On the evening of Tuesday 20 August 2025, Laois Rose Katelyn Cummins was named as the 2025 International Rose of Tralee.

20-year-old Miss Cummins, an apprentice electrician, was crowned the winner in the second of two live televised broadcasts from the Kerry Sports Academy in the south-west of Ireland and is the first Rose from Laois to win the title.

The competition is one of Ireland’s largest and longest-running festivals. Dating back to 1959, it celebrates Irish communities and in particular young women of Irish descent (Roses) from countries all around the world.

Representing Luxembourg at this year’s event was Luxembourg Rose Aisling Guilfoyle. As one of the 32 finalists, she participated in a series of events in and around Tralee over the past five days, including the two live televised broadcasts on Monday and Tuesday evening.

During the Monday night broadcast, Miss Guilfoyle, wearing a long black dress, was interviewed on live television by Kathryn Thomas, who asked her about life in Luxembourg. Aisling talked about the cosmopolitan lifestyle and the multilingual education system here. She also explained about her role as a Communication & Marketing Adviser at the House of Startups.

For her "party piece", linked with her food blog, she took part in a taste challenge of well-known Irish brands, including tea, crisps (potato chips) and chocolate biscuits.

Winner Katelyn Cummins was announced by comperes Daithi O'Shea and Kathryn Thomas and presented with her sash by last year's Rose, Keely O'Grady from New Zealand, becoming the 65th International Rose of Tralee in the process. She said that winning felt "like a dream".
