On Saturday 18 October 2025, the fourth edition of Korean Culture Day took place at Hall Victor Hugo in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg, organised by the Korean Cultural House in Luxembourg (Maison de la Culture Coréenne au Luxembourg).
According to the organisers, more than 2,000 visitors attended this year’s edition, which featured live performances including traditional dance, K-pop and Korean DJs, as well as hands-on workshops on calligraphy, crafts and K-beauty. Culinary stands offering Korean street food, hanbok try-ons and family-friendly activities were also part of the programme.
The event was attended by Luxembourg’s Minister of Education, Children and Youth, Claude Meisch, as well as Corinne Cahen, Alderwoman of the City of Luxembourg.
Speaking to Chronicle.lu, Chun Young-Hee, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Luxembourg, highlighted the growing ties between the two countries: “The Embassy of the Republic of Korea opened just one year ago, and we are working hard to strengthen political, economic, social and cultural exchanges between Korea and Luxembourg. Korean culture is open-minded, diverse and harmonious - values we share with Luxembourg.” He added: “I hope people here will enjoy discovering Korean dance, music, food and beauty, and that this will deepen mutual understanding between our two nations.”
Jinyoung Choi, President of the Korean Cultural House in Luxembourg, expressed her enthusiasm for the event’s success: “I’m really happy to organise the fourth edition of Korean Culture Day. We started in 2022, and it’s now much bigger than ever before. I was amazed to see so many people come to enjoy everything about Korean culture. Thanks to the growing popularity of K-pop and Korean animation, we now see even more young visitors discovering and enjoying Korean traditions.”
