The Greek Cinema Club (Ciné-club hellénique de Luxembourg) has announced two screenings of the film Patty Is Such a Girly Name (2025), which will take place on Tuesday 13 October at 19:00 and Wednesday 14 October at 21:00 at Cinéma Utopia in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg.
Directed by Giorgos Georgopoulos, the 113-minute Greek film will be screened in its original version with English subtitles. The film is suitable for audiences aged sixteen and over.
Synopsis: Daphné, an eighteen-year-old judoka from the Greek island of Ikaria, follows her coach to Athens. She discovers the intensity and harshness of high-level training, while also meeting Zoé. Actress Mort Klonaraki portrays a young woman suddenly confronted with the adult world.
The film combines teen drama, drama, romance and sport.
Director Giorgos Georgopoulos is known for Patty Is Such a Girly Name (2025), Not to Be Unpleasant, But We Need to Have a Serious Talk (2019) and Tungsten (2011). He has worked extensively as a director, editor, writer and producer across feature films and short projects.
Tickets cost €6 for club members and €12 for non-members and can be purchased at the cinema from 30 minutes before the screening (cash only) or online via Luxembourg Ticket.
