On Monday 12 January 2026, Luxembourg-based hospitality group Mansogroup announced the opening of its twelfth restaurant, Azur, located in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.

Marking the transformation of the former L’Avenue restaurant, the opening of this new French concept aims to reflect Mansogroup’s “long-term strategy focused on central locations, strong teams and distinct culinary concepts”.

The new restaurant opened within seven days of securing access to the premises. Yannis Xydias, Managing Director and co-owner of Mansogroup, commented: “Most people wait for perfection. We choose speed. In an uncertain environment, execution and alignment matter more than perfection. Guests come for the food and the experience - not because every decorative detail is already in place.” He continued: “This agility is the result of experienced teams and a proven operational framework developed over more than a decade.”

Location remains a key pillar of Mansogroup’s strategy. “Accessibility and relevance to the surrounding neighbourhood are essential,” said Yannis Xydias. “Our locations must work for different moments of the day and different audiences,” he added.

With Greek, Portuguese, Italian and Spanish restaurants already part of its portfolio, French cuisine emerged as the missing link in Mansogroup’s Mediterranean landscape.

The menu is centred on traditional French cuisine, led by Chef Christophe Deparday, who brings Michelin-star experience to the concept.

“Azur is built around French cuisine, with a strong focus on slow-cooked cuisine,” the Managing Director explained. “Slow cooking, reductions and long preparations require time and precision but they deliver deep flavours. It’s refined cuisine but generous and sincere,” he added.

Signature dishes include matured meats, bouchée à la reine, boeuf bourguignon and filet Rossini, alongside seafood options such as bluefin tuna tartare, oysters and scallops.

The dessert offering is led by pastry chef Judith Macia, known as the “Queen of Cheesecakes”, whose experience in Michelin-starred hotel environments reportedly adds a distinctive element to the concept.

Alongside its expansion, the group has launched Ensemble by Mansogroup, a loyalty programme aimed at rewarding guests while encouraging them to explore its restaurants.

Looking ahead, Mansogroup said it plans to rebrand the JFK Restaurant later this year as part of its ongoing modernisation strategy. According to founder and Director Rémy Manso, the group’s approach is “to evolve rather than replicate”. He underlined: “Modernisation allows us to create concepts that truly fit their location and audience.”
