Non-governmental development organisation SOS Faim has announced that the second edition of Luxembourg’s AlimenTERRE Festival will run from Thursday 16 October to Sunday 16 November 2025.
SOS Faim has said the event will offer “a powerful line-up of eight thought-provoking documentaries”. These will each be followed by debates, workshops and other activities. The themes will range from intensive farming to social justice, water scarcity, sustainable agriculture, health and biodiversity.
The festival invites citizens, young people, institutions and businesses to reflect collectively on people’s relationship with food and the choices that shape our future.
The AlimenTERRE Festival takes place in 17 countries and has become a forum for questioning food systems and promoting sustainable alternatives. SOS Faim said the originality of the Luxembourg edition lies in reaching companies directly, thanks to the commitment of European Climate Pact Ambassador Marie-Béatrice Noble and the joint organisation with 23 festival partners.
SOS Faim said: “The AlimenTERRE Festival goes beyond denouncing the failures of food systems. It highlights concrete alternatives and creates spaces for dialogue and collective action. At a time of major environmental and social challenges, the festival offers a unique opportunity to mobilise for fairer, more sustainable and more united food systems.”
