On Thursday 2 July 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported several burglaries and thefts from vehicles that took place across Luxembourg within the last 24 hours.
One burglary was reported during the afternoon of Wednesday 1 July 2026 at a detached house on Rue de Luxembourg in Roedgen. According to initial information, unknown perpetrators gained entry through a rear window, searched the property and stole jewellery before being interrupted by the resident.
That same day shortly before 20:00, another burglary was reported at an apartment in a multi-family building on Rue de Vianden in Luxembourg-Hollerich. According to initial information, unknown perpetrators gained access to the apartment, searched it and stole two gold necklaces.
Later that evening, a further burglary was reported at a detached house on Rue de Tétange in Kayl. According to initial information, unknown perpetrators entered the house from the rear and looked for valuables.
The police also received reports of two thefts from vehicles. At around 19:00 the same day, unknown perpetrators allegedly gained access to a vehicle on Rue du Verger in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie and searched its interior, stealing a rosary and a pair of sunglasses.
Another theft from a vehicle was reported during the early hours of Thursday 2 July 2026 on Rue du Dernier Sol, also in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie. According to initial information, unknown perpetrators gained access through a passenger-side window and stole items from a bag.
