Luxembourg resident, the Icelandic singer (as well as journalist and presenter) Thorunn, is participating in the lives shows of The Voice of Germany, a televised talent contest; on Friday 6 December there will be a Voting Party organised in Trier.
Friends of Thorunn are organising the event which is taking place at the Metropolis in Trier (Hindenburgstraße 4) from 18:00 - 20:00, at the time of the second live show broadcast by SAT1. Voting will be by SMS, but is restricted to messages sent from within Germany. Entry is free before 20:00; afterwards it is €8.
To also allow Luxembourg supporters and admirers of Thorunn to vote for her, her friends have decided spontaneously to organise this party for her. During this evening, guests will be provided with 600 free prepaid cards, sponsored by Deutsche Telekom and their partner, Euronics in Konz, to vote for their favorite. James Borges, finalist of The Voice of Germany in 2012, will also support the action at the musical evening in Trier.
Whoever would like to gain entry into Metropolis is invited to register by email: voteforthorunn@gmail.com with your name and "OUI JE VIENS". Those aged 12-16 years must be accompanied by parents or guardians.
Friends of Thorunn are also relying on supporters of the musician to help children in the Philippines, via the charity action by Miranda Konstandindou "Let's help Philippines" (www.letshelpph.com) with collection of donations. The Metropolis will match the amount raised by the public, to double the amount to be given to the charity. KPMG Luxembourg is also supporting this initiative, with many German and international employees of the company being invited to support Thorunn during the evening voting in Trier .
