On Tuesday 16 December 2025, Luxembourg’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Xavier Bettel, hosted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, in Luxembourg for a working visit.

According to Luxembourg's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, this meeting provided an opportunity to review bilateral relations between the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Republic of Armenia, as well as to discuss current international and regional issues.

During the visit, the two ministers signed a joint declaration on a strategic partnership between Luxembourg and Armenia, reflecting their shared commitment to further strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

Regarding the security situation in the South Caucasus, Minister Bettel reaffirmed Luxembourg's full support for the normalisation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and for the momentum generated by the Washington summit held in August 2025. He also acknowledged the continued efforts made by both countries in this context.
