
Luxembourg’s Ministry of National Education, Children and Youth announced on Tuesday 8 July 2025, that 260 pupils in the final year at four public European schools had obtained the European Baccalaureate.
In total, 263 candidates (134 young women and 129 young men) sat the European Baccalaureate examinations: 118 from the International School of Differdange and Esch-sur-Alzette (EIDE); 77 from the Lënster Lycée International School (LLIS); 39 from the Edward Steichen International School in Clervaux (LESC); and 29 from the International School of Mondorf-les-Bains (EIMLB). Of these, 102 students followed the English-language programme, 97 the French-language programme and 64 the German-language programme.
The overall pass rate was at 98.86%.
The programmes and tests for the European Baccalaureate are the same in all European schools, the Luxembourg Ministry of Education, Children and Youth noted. The final mark consists of 50% of the mark for the year, 35% of the mark for the written exam and 15% for the mark of the oral exam.
