On Friday morning, Luxembourg's national railway company, the CFL, confirmed that trains are currently disrupted between Luxembourg and Troisvierges / Gouvy (Belgium).

Around 04:30 on Friday 16 January 2026, the CFL reported that trains were disrupted on the Luxembourg – Ettelbruck – Troisvierges – Gouvy line due to a technical issue involving a switch failure near Kautenbach.

The CFL confirmed that maintenance teams were on-site to resolve the problem, and estimated at that time that services between Luxembourg City and Troisvierges would gradually resume around 08:00.

Shortly before 08:00, the latest information indicated that the normal service would gradually resume around 10:00.

The CFL apologised for any inconvenience caused.

For more information regarding alternative routes and train schedules, passengers may consult the CFL mobile application or the timetable search function on the CFL website.
