On Tuesday 10 November 2015, satellite services provider Intelsat announced the appointment of several company employees to Vice President positions.

Long-standing Intelsat executive, Jay Yass, was appointed to Vice President of Business Development, whilst Hazem Moakkit was named to the newly-created role of Vice President of Corporate and Spectrum Strategy. Both employees will report to Bruno Fromont, Intelsat's Senior Vice President of Strategy and Asset Management and will be based in Virginia, USAS, at the company's McLean office.

Jay Yass will oversee Intelsat's global business development team, working closely with Intelsat's corporate strategy, product management and innovation and service architecture teams in order to establish partnerships according to services delivered to customers. Mr. Yass held senior sales and business development management roles at Telogy Network and GTE Satellite Corporation before joining Intelat in 2003, where he served as Intelsat's Vice President of Global Accounts and Strategic Sales as well as Intelsat's Vice President of Network Services Product Management prior to his new position.

Hazem Moakkit will be leading corporate strategy and spectrum teams in his new role, analysing shifts in market trends as a way of guiding the strategic direction of the company. Mr. Moakkit will also be bringing more than two decades of industry experience to optimising Intelsat's orbital spectrum rights to support the company's overall business plans. Mr. Moakkit has previously held executive regulatory and spectrum affairs positions at O3b Satellite Networks and Yahsat.
