On Thursday 23 July 2026, Luxembourg's BGL Ligue representatives UNA Strassen suffered an away defeat to Serbia's FK Partizan Belgrade in the first leg of their UEFA Conference League second qualifying round tie.
Jérémy Deichelbohrer's team fell behind as early as the fifth minute. Milan Roganović found Zubairu Ibrahim with a precise pass inside the penalty area, and the winger delivered a first-time cross for Erik Kojzek to finish from close range.
Partizan remained in control for most of the first half, with UNA Strassen creating little danger in front of the hosts' goal. The Serbian side doubled their advantage in the 29th minute when Edis Agovic turned Samson Nwulu's effort into his own net after the ball had already been heading towards goal, making it 2-0.
UNA Strassen's best opportunity before the break came in the 38th minute, but captain Nicolas Perez sent his effort wide, leaving the score unchanged at half-time.
The visitors' task became even more difficult shortly after the restart when Edis Agovic was shown a straight red card by Kazakh referee Daniyar Sakhi, reducing UNA Strassen to ten men.
Two minutes later, Partizan missed a chance to extend their lead as Milan Vukotić's free-kick from the right found Stefan Mitrović, whose header flew over the crossbar.
The hosts eventually added a third goal in the 68th minute. After providing the assist for the opener, Zubairu Ibrahimgot on the scoresheet himself, heading home Stefan Milić's cross from the right.
Partizan continued to press and made it 4-0 in the 80th minute. Chaka Traorè's free-kick from the left was only partially cleared and fell to captain Ognjen Ugrešić, who converted from close range.
Belgrade finished with nine attempts, including four on target, while Strassen managed three attempts, none of which tested the goalkeeper.
The second leg will take place on Thursday 30 July 2026 in Luxembourg City, where UNA Strassen will look to overturn the four-goal deficit and keep their UEFA Conference League campaign alive.
