The Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO) has announced that from Saturday 28 March until Sunday 5 April 2026, it will offer a “safari through Luxembourg City”, where young and older explorers are invited to take part in the Easter Safari – an urban trail full of magic, hidden animals and a very special Easter secret.
The LCTO said the event will see the Luxembourg capital “transform into a true adventure playground for children”, where participants are invited to walk through the city streets in search of the animals of the “urban jungle”, hidden among façades, fountains and walls.
Each tour is suitable for children aged four to twelve, who, with their accompanying adults, will spend two hours walking through the city streets accompanied by an experienced guide.
The LCTO highlighted that “a very special mission also awaits the young adventurers”, as during the Easter period, they will be challenged to find a small traditional Luxembourgish animal – the “Péckvillchen”, the handmade clay bird whistle which has a long history deeply rooted in Luxembourgish culture. Several of these charming birds are hidden along the route and those who manage to spot them will not only discover the city but also a part of local traditions.
The Easter Safari is offered in several languages to allow as many visitors as possible to join the adventure:
⁃ English: Sunday 29 March, Thursday 2 April, Sunday 5 April, at 14:30;
⁃ French: Saturday 28 March at 15:00, Tuesday 31 March at 14:00, Saturday 4 April at 15:00;
⁃ German: Sunday 29 March, Sunday 5 April, at 15:00;
⁃ Luxembourgish: Saturday 28 March, Friday 3 April, Saturday 4 April, at 14:30.
Tickets are already available at www.luxembourg-city.com and at the Luxembourg City Tourist Office (30 Pl. Guillaume II, L-1648, Luxembourg-Ville).
The LCTO emphasised that the number of places is limited and each tour is open to a maximum of 20 participants.
Tours will commence from the Luxembourg City Tourist Office.
