The communication agency brain&more has announced that the 20th edition of "Portes Ouvertes Luxembourg" (Luxembourg Open Days) will take place across the Grand Duchy on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026.
Each year, under the patronage of Luxembourg's Ministry of the Economy and organised by brain&more, this event offers the public an opportunity to (re)discover Luxembourgish businesses and talents, the driving forces behind the local economy.
This year's edition will take place under the theme "Dat ka Lëtzebuerg". Participating organisations will represent a range of sectors, including crafts, industry, healthcare, energy, research, public administration, social services and local production.
According to the organisers, visitors will be able to learn about the technologies, products and services of participating organisations while meeting the people working in the respective sectors. The event is aimed at visitors of all ages, including families and young people.
The weekend will also offer those considering their career options an opportunity to discover different professions and obtain information about potential employment, training and internship opportunities.
Among the participating venues, Cercle Cité in Luxembourg-Ville will open its doors from 12:00 to 18:00 on both days. Its programme will include guided tours of the building in several languages, a creative workshop, guided tours of the “More than a Postcard. Le Luxembourg entre arrivée et départ.” exhibition and “THREADS / le fil invisible”, an original dance performance by Luxembourg choreographer Norah Noush.
The dance performance will take place at 17:00 on both Saturday and Sunday, while guided tours of the Bel-Étage will be offered in Luxembourgish, German, French and English languages throughout both days. A drop-in creative workshop based around photography, collage and image editing will run from 13:00 to 17:00 and will be available in French, English, Luxembourgish and Italian languages.
Guided tours of the “More than a Postcard” exhibition will take place at 15:00, in French with Christian Aschman on Saturday and in English with Keven Erickson on Sunday.
All activities at Cercle Cité will be free of charge and will not require prior registration.
Since the launch of “Portes Ouvertes Luxembourg”, more than 525 companies, organisations, municipalities and industrial businesses have participated in the initiative, attracting nearly 381,000 visitors, according to the organisers.
