To mark Luxembourg Museum Days, Kulturhuef in Grevenmacher has announced it will host two linocut workshops on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May 2026, at its premises in Grevenmacher (54, Route de Trèves).

Linocut is an artistic technique that involves engraving linoleum plates to create relief images. During the workshops, Luxembourg artist Damien Giudice will guide participants through the various steps of linocut, from sketching your design to the final print, learning how to use the engraving tools, prepare plates and print creations on paper.

Damien Giudice is known for his unique linocut art, which is heavily inspired by botany, wildlife and mystical hybrid creatures. With a background in graphic design (B.A. in Communication Design), he combines academic knowledge with creative expression to create extraordinary designs.

According to Kulturhuef, all necessary materials will be provided on site, including linoleum plates, gouges, printing inks, rollers and paper. The cost of materials (linoleum plates) will be paid at the end of the workshop.

The duration of the workshops is around four hours and will take place in English.

Tickets cost €40 and can be purchased at https://kulturhuef2.regiondo.com/linolschnitt-workshop-mit-damien-giudice.
