Luxembourg’s Ministry of Education, Children and Youth has announced the fifth edition of the YEP!-Schoulfoire (school fair), taking place in the halls of Luxexpo in Luxembourg-Kirchberg from Sunday 19 to Wednesday 22 April 2026.
The largest annual event for school and career guidance is aimed at pupils in cycles 3 and 4 of primary education, those in the final year of primary education at international schools, and secondary school students. It is also open to parents and education professionals.
The fair will open on Sunday 19 April with a public day from 11:00 to 18:00. The general public will also have access to the Schoulfoire on Tuesday 21 April from 13:00 to 17:00. The day of 20 April, the morning of 21 April and the day of 22 April are reserved for school classes registered for Schoulfoire activities.
On a total surface area of 17,000 m2 spread over three halls of the Luxexpo, the YEP!-Schoulfoire is based on six pillars, namely: Luxembourg’s ministry of Education, Children and Youth, the guidance centre and school offerings (Maison de l’orientation), where specialists in the education system will be present on-site. While the main stand is hosted by representatives of the guidance centre and different ministerial departments, the School Integration and Welcoming Service (SIA), the Service national de l’éducation inclusive (National Service for Inclusive Education, SNEI) and the Psychosocial and School Support Center (CePAS) will be present with their own information stands, as will the national students' conference (Conférence nationale des élèves du Luxembourg, CNEL). 45 secondary and primary schools will also be present at the YEP!-Schoulfoire. Furthermore, nearly 500 participatory activities, workshops and shows will take place over four days.
The YEP!-Schoulfoire will bring together hundreds of secondary education experts, allowing parents to ask questions and explore the full range of schooling options, while children and young people can take part in interactive workshops. The fair will feature nine training areas and offer insight into different professional sectors.
The public day on Sunday 19 April will run from 11:00 to 18:00, while another public session is scheduled for Tuesday 21 April from 13:00 to 17:00. Entry to the Schoulfoire is free, no registration is required for workshops and a catering service provided by Restopolis will be available throughout the event.
The 2026 edition of the Schoulfoire will also feature LuxSkills, the final of the national skills competition, which takes place every two years. The competition brings together the best apprentices from more than 25 professional fields. Participants complete a defined project over a total of 22 hours in front of Schoulfoire visitors. The winners will qualify for EuroSkills 2027, the European skills championship, which will take place in Düsseldorf from 22 to 26 September 2027.
