On Tuesday 10 June 2025, Luxembourg’s Ministry of the Economy announced that Luxembourg’s Minister of the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, Lex Delles, will travel to Paris, France, from Wednesday 11 June to Thursday 12 June 2025 for a working visit focused on innovation, start-ups and emerging technologies.

According to the ministry, the visit, which coincides with the Vivatechnology trade fair, centres around Luxembourg’s presence at the trade fair, where Luxembourg will participate for the sixth time with a national pavilion jointly organised by Luxembourg’s Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade - through its Directorate for the Promotion of Foreign Trade and Investment - and Startup Luxembourg.

The ministry reported that on Wednesday 11 June 2025, Minister Delles will attend the opening ceremony of the Vivatechnology fair alongside French President Emmanuel Macron and will meet several start-ups active in digital technology, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity at the Luxembourg pavilion. The day’s programme also includes meetings with international partners and visits to various national pavilions, including that of Canada, the 2025 country of honour for the event, and “Le Village” by Crédit Agricole. In the evening, the Luxembourg Ambassador’s residence will host an official reception, with guests including President of Luxembourg’s Chamber of Commerce, Fernand Ernster, as well as representatives from the Luxembourg and French innovation ecosystems.

On Thursday 12 June 2025, Minister Delles will continue the visit at Campus Cyber, France’s cybersecurity hub, where he will hold talks with representatives from Thales, defence and security industry group GICAT and Ryder & Davis. In the afternoon, he will join working discussions with Sorbonne University on potential cooperation in artificial intelligence and academic research.

The ministry noted that this visit aims to strengthen ties between Luxembourg’s innovation ecosystem and its European counterparts, while supporting the development of start-ups and scale-ups, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity.

Vivatechnology, established in 2016, brings together leading entrepreneurs, start-ups, investors, researchers and thought leaders in Paris and is seen as a major driver of business transformation, start-up growth and innovation. The 2024 edition welcomed over 13,500 start-ups, among 165,000 participants from 120 countries.
