The University of Luxembourg has announced its choir will perform two charity concerts with Luxembourg musicians David John Pike and Maurice Clément on Sunday 21 June in Diekirch and on Wednesday 24 June in Dudelange.

Baritone David John Pike has a diverse repertoire and has worked with several leading ensembles in Europe and beyond. Maurice Clément is regularly invited as a soloist to international festivals and is currently organist-in-residence at the Philharmonie Luxembourg.

The university choir said it is honoured to perform alongside the renowned Luxembourgish musicians:

The centrepiece of each concert will be a new choral arrangement of Schumann's Dichterliebe, as well as works by Bach, Vaughan Williams, and Joni Mitchell.

Programme:

• Diekirch - 18:00 on Sunday 21 June at the Église Décanale

• Dudelange - 20:00 on Wednesday 24 June at the Église St Martin

Admission is free, but donations are welcome.

The concerts are in support of the Ilula Orphan Project Luxembourg (IOPL), which works to create a healthy, educated, economically and socially developed Tanzanian community.
