The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a man was injured following a fight in Luxembourg City on the evening of Friday 24 April 2026, with a suspect later arrested in connection with the incident.
According to the police, at around 22:20 they were alerted to a fight involving several individuals on Rue Philippe II in Luxembourg City. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man with multiple cut wounds. He received first aid on site before being taken to hospital for further treatment.
Initial information indicates that the incident was preceded by an altercation between the injured man and another individual, which then escalated into a larger fight. Further investigations revealed that the injured man had also stabbed his opponent. On the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, he was arrested and brought before an investigating judge, who issued a warrant for his detention.
The search for the second suspect is ongoing.
