On Monday 28 July 2025, Luxembourg's association for the blind and visually impaired people, Fondation Lëtzebuerger Blannevereenegung (FLB), announced the appointment of a new director to its Board of Directors.
At its last meeting, the Board unanimously approved the candidacy of Roby Eischen.
A resident of Luxembourg, Mr Eischen is a qualified engineer in electrical engineering with additional training in economics. Since 1996, he has accumulated a wealth of professional experience, notably as Managing Director at Goblet Lavandier & Associés Ingénieurs-Conseils, where he specialised in business management and technical and administrative support for construction projects. The FLB said his expertise would be "a valuable asset" to the foundation.
Marianne Brosius-Kolber, Chair of the Board of Directors, commented: "We are delighted to welcome Mr Eischen, who will contribute his skills and commitment to furthering the foundation's mission: to improve the quality of life and integration of blind and visually impaired people in Luxembourg."
The FLB added that it "remains firmly committed to promoting the inclusion, autonomy and well-being of people with visual impairments". The non-profit organisation thanked its Board members for "their willingness to contribute voluntarily to this worthy cause".
