The organisers of the Škoda Tour de Luxembourg have announced the route for its 86th edition of the cycling race, which will take place from Wednesday 16 to Sunday 20 September 2026.

The 2026 edition will comprise five stages, including an individual time trial, covering a total of 700 km and more than 11,000 metres of elevation gain.

Among this year's highlights, Junglinster will host a stage finish for the first time, having previously hosted starts in 2022 and 2024. The Tour will also return to Ettelbruck for the first time in 79 years. The town last featured on the route in 1947, when Luxembourg cyclist Jang Goldschmit won the stage from Luxembourg to Ettelbruck.

The first stage, on Wednesday 16 September, will cover 157.4 km from Luxembourg-Knuedler to Luxembourg-Fëschmaart. Riders will tackle the climbs of Niklosbierg, Bourscheid and Eschdorf, while the Spuerkeess Bonus Sprint will take place around 50 km from the finish. As in 2024 and 2025, riders will climb through Luxembourg-Clausen before reaching the finish at Fëschmaart.

Stage two, on Thursday 17 September, will take riders 166.8 km from Differdange/Niederkorn to Junglinster. The route will pass through Luxembourg's Moselle region and take in the Mur de Wormeldange before continuing through the Mullerthal and Echternach towards Junglinster.

The third and longest stage will take place on Friday 18 September, covering 179.7 km from Wiltz to Diekirch. Riders will climb Um Knupp shortly after leaving Wiltz before continuing along the hilly roads of the Oesling. They will later return to Wiltz for a second ascent of Um Knupp before heading towards Diekirch. The final circuit will include the Seitert and Haemerich climbs.

On Saturday 19 September 2026, Ettelbruck will host a 20.4 km individual time trial. According to the organisers, the fast but technical course could have a significant impact on the general classification.

The fifth and final stage, on Sunday 20 September, will cover 177.6 km from Mersch to Luxembourg-Limpertsberg. The route will feature climbs at Nommern, Gralingen and Kautenbach, followed by three passages over the Pabeierbierg before the finish.

The Škoda Tour de Luxembourg forms part of the UCI ProSeries calendar. Seven UCI WorldTeams have confirmed their participation in the 2026 edition: Alpecin-Deceuninck; Decathlon CMA CGM Team; EF Education-EasyPost; Lidl-Trek; Soudal Quick-Step; Team Visma | Lease a Bike; and UAE Team Emirates.

According to the organisers, several UCI ProTeams and UCI Continental Teams will complete the field alongside the Luxembourg national team.
