On Tuesday 21 October 2025, charge@lux confirmed that it had officially taken over the operation of Luxembourg’s national public charging networks Chargy and SuperChargy (rapid charging stations).
Established in July 2025, charge@lux brings together Electris Luxembourg SA, Cube 4T8 SARL and Socom SA. The takeover became effective on 1 October 2025 under a seven-year concession, making charge@lux both the owner and operator of the national public charging infrastructure, including the Chargy OK and SuperChargy OK services.
A three-month transition between Creos Luxembourg SA and charge@lux ensured a smooth handover of operations with no service interruption. Charging tariffs and conditions remain unchanged, ensuring continuity and transparency for users.
The Chargy network currently comprises 668 public fast-charging stations (up to 22 kW) across municipalities, public car parks and park-and-ride (P+R) facilities. Since 2021, the complementary SuperChargy network has added 84 ultra-fast DC charging stations (up to 350 kW), mainly along major motorways and at P+R sites such as Capellen, Berchem and Wasserbillig. Eleven Chargy and four SuperChargy stations are under construction in Frisange, with plans to expand the network to 800 stations in total, including 710 Chargy and 90 SuperChargy units.
charge@lux also manages the Chargy OK and SuperChargy OK services, which connect private and semi-public charging points, such as those in public buildings, municipalities, businesses, shops, public car parks and residential complexes, to the national network via the Chargy app.
The company aims to maintain a high level of network availability and to continue improving performance and accessibility. Its activities align with Luxembourg’s broader strategy to strengthen energy sovereignty and promote sustainable mobility supported by local actors.
