The 24th edition of the "Nuit des Musées" (Museum Night) took place in Luxembourg City on Saturday 11 October 2025.

As reported by ICOM and the Stater Muséeën group, the event recorded 25,397 visits across the seven participating museums.

From 17:00 to 01:00, members of the public had the opportunity to explore the collections and enjoy a special programme, featuring musical and artistic performances, DJ sets, concerts, creative workshops for all ages and special guided tours of the exhibitions. Free shuttles ran between the Ville-Haute, Grund and Kirchberg districts.

Reported highlights included:

  • Villa Vauban hosted Luxembourg duo GeiBassGei (Jean-Jacques Mailliet and Max Serra), who took the audience on a personal musical journey with double bass and violin;
  • Casino Luxembourg hosted a performance by Nicool, a Luxembourgish singer known for her open and humorous lyrics;
  • Lëtzebuerg City Museum held a traditional sing-along which transformed the audience into a festive choir - accompanied by Ethan Carey (vocals/guitar), Cyril Yabroudi (bass), Pedro Gonzales (drums) and Sri Nassu Bowe (guitar);
  • Nationalmusée um Fëschmaart hosted RAFTSIDE – The Modern Hope by Filip Markiewicz, offering an immersive audiovisual performance, combining electronic compositions and the Polish-Luxembourgish artist's visual universe;
  • National Museum of Natural History - Naturmusée hosted a concert by The Tame and the Wild, taking the audience on a poetic sound journey which mixed indie-folk, nostalgia and emotions;
  • Dräi Eechelen Museum held performances by Marly Marques (vocals) and Arthur Possing (piano), who offered a musical journey full of nostalgia, revisiting popular songs from the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America from the 1930s to the 1970s;
  • Mudam Luxembourg saw the National Folkloric Ballet of Luxembourg (Ballet National Folklorique du Luxembourg) present the "Pigeon Dance", inviting the audience to participate in an emblematic choreography, under the direction of Mr Chevalier.

As part of a new joint project, each museum also presented a humorous performance (stand-up or comedy).

The 25th edition of the Nuit des Musées is scheduled for Saturday 10 October 2026.
