On Monday 1 September 2025, Luxembourg-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (LUCC) launched the second cycle of its “Empower to Employ” project, running from July to December 2025.

The initiative, supported by Fonds Européens Luxembourg (FSE+) and Luxembourg’s Ministry of Labour, aims to help Ukrainians integrate into the Luxembourg job market by raising visibility and supporting integration through networking.

According to LUCC, by the end of August 2025, 22 participants from the first cycle had already secured employment.

“The Empower to Employ project is designed to give Ukrainian professionals not only the tools and knowledge but also the motivation and networking opportunities they need to succeed in Luxembourg. Ukrainian specialists can make a strong contribution across various professional sectors of the Luxembourg labour market - all they need is a chance and the opportunity to start their careers. This is the main mission of our team,” Olena Berkovich, LUCC HR Manager for Empower to Employ, told Chronicle.lu.

As part of the initiative, LUCC has also prepared an information session for HR professionals, which will take place on Thursday 18 September 2025 at 19:00 at 20 Rue des Peupliers in Luxembourg-Hamm. The event, held in English, will include a presentation of the Empower to Employ project, a roundtable discussion on diversity in recruitment and cultural insights from candidates with experience in the Ukrainian labour market, as well as a networking session with HR peers. Registration is required via this link.

The Empower to Employ project is open to Ukrainians holding temporary protection status in Luxembourg with a minimum A2 level in English or French, and who are interested in careers in IT, finance, hospitality, management, law or other fields.

The programme offers group training on the Luxembourg job market, job search strategies and local labour law; career counselling for CV and cover letter adaptation as well as LinkedIn profile optimisation; one-to-one mentorship with local professionals; and individual support to help align skills and expectations with the Luxembourg labour market.

The next information session for those interested in joining the “Empower to Employ” project will take place on Monday 8 September 2025.

The first seminars and workshops of Cycle 2 will begin on Wednesday 24 September 2025. All events are free of charge to attend for members, but prior registration is often required.
