The fourth edition of the Luxembourg International Dragon Boat Festival will take place on Sunday 7 June 2026 on the Esplanade (Moselle riverbanks) in Remich, from 10:00 to 17:30.

Since its inaugural edition in 2022, the Luxembourg International Dragon Boat Festival has gradually developed into a major annual international cultural and sporting event.

Centred around traditional Chinese dragon boat culture, the festival combines sporting competition, cultural presentations and public engagement activities. It attracts teams and visitors from Luxembourg and across Europe, while also serving as a platform for fostering people-to-people exchanges between China and Europe.

The 2026 edition will once again feature international dragon boat races, alongside cultural performances and side activities, including the "Tea for Harmony" exhibition and tea tasting sessions, a Jiangsu cultural and tourism promotion showcase, Unitree robotics interactive demonstrations and food tasting experiences. According to the organisers, the programme aims to offer an immersive experience combining sport, culture, technology and cuisine.

Schedule 
- 10:00: Opening ceremony, including welcome speeches by: Yong Zhang, President of Euro-Asie; Mu Yuwei, Director of the China Cultural Center Luxembourg; Jacques Sitz, Mayor of Remich; Lex Delles, Luxembourg's Minister of the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism; Ning Hua, Chinese Ambassador to Luxembourg
- 10:45: Lion dance performance
- 11:00: Start of the dragon boat races, featuring more than fifteen teams (20 participants per boat / team)
- 12:00-13:00: Performance and lunch break
- 13:15-17:00: Races continue
- 17:30: End of the races and award ceremony

Throughout the day, attendees can visit food and beverage stands, sample traditional sticky rice ("zongzi") and watch a robot show.

The event is open to the general public.

The festival is organised by the Embassy of China in Luxembourg, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Jiangsu Province, the China Cultural Center in Luxembourg, the Euro-Asia Cultural Exchange Center and the municipalities of Remich, Schengen, Mondorf-les-Bains and Perl (Germany), in cooperation with the China-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and the Confucius Institute at the University of Luxembourg.
