On Wednesday 8 October 2025, FE fundinfo, a global leader in investment fund data and technology with an office in Luxembourg, announced the launch of Nexus AI, an AI enablement layer for asset managers and financial advisers.
According to the company, Nexus AI leverages FE fundinfo’s datasets to help improve efficiency, compliance and growth across the investment lifecycle, and is designed to connect industry participants across the UK, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
FE fundinfo added that Nexus AI is embedded within the Nexus platform and uses capabilities from the recently acquired Lunar AI to support compliance checks, research, documentation and client servicing via connected workflows that it says “minimise risk, save time and surface actionable insights.”
Citing its own research, FE fundinfo reported that nearly 90% of asset managers must deliver fund data faster and more accurately, 37% view regulatory document production as the most resource-intensive process and 46% identify legacy systems as the biggest barrier to efficiency.
FE fundinfo stated that the initial toolset includes:
- Document Inspector: automatically checks documents against “600+ UK CCI rules” to reduce compliance risk and provide early visibility of upcoming requirements;
- Conversational UI: enables natural-language queries across markets, competitors, Nexus data and internal documents within Nexus;
- Smart Notifications: flags missing data, queries and market changes to help teams remain accurate and compliant;
- AI Search and LLM Tools: unify data across filings, fund datasets and internal documents to surface insights faster;
- Platform Assistant: supports onboarding and promotes consistent AI processes across teams.
FE fundinfo further reported that advisers face significant operational drag: on average, 61% spend over 20% of each client meeting collecting or updating data (about twelve minutes in a one-hour session), followed by roughly an hour re-keying information, affecting both efficiency and data integrity. The company said streamlined workflows can help mitigate risks such as inaccurate capture and incomplete records.
For financial advisers, FE fundinfo stated that Nexus AI offers tools to reduce administrative workload and free time for client engagement and advice, including:
- Meeting Agent: automatically joins and transcribes client meetings; FE fundinfo said it can “save 30-60 minutes per session.”
- AI-Powered Reporting: converts transcripts into client recaps and next-step documents via prompt-driven templates.
- Integrated Workflow Layer: links actions across FE CashCalc, FE Analytics, meetings and FE fundinfo datasets to create a single workflow.
- Smart Data Capture: extracts key client information from transcripts and maps it into FE CashCalc to avoid double entry.
- Embedded Daily Toolkit: integrates with FE CashCalc and existing adviser workflows to support scalable operations.
Liam Healy, CEO at FE fundinfo commented: “The investment industry is at a pivotal moment. For too long, professionals have been constrained by fragmented systems and manual processes. Nexus AI is our answer - a bold step forward that reimagines how investment decisions are made. By weaving trusted data, compliance and intelligence into everyday workflows, we’re empowering firms to move faster, think smarter and serve clients better. This is more than technology, it’s a new way of working, built for the future of investing.”
