On Saturday 27 June 2026, Luxembourg's national railway company, CFL, announced temporary speed restrictions across the country's rail network due to exceptionally high temperatures.
According to the CFL, trains will operate at reduced speeds across the national rail network between 12:00 and 20:00 for safety reasons.
The railway operator also warned that passengers should expect delays and possible train cancellations throughout the day.
The CFL advised travellers to consult the journey planner on its website or the CFL mobile app for the latest timetable information and alternative travel options before travelling.
