On Wednesday 14 January 2026, Luxair announced a network expansion with the launch of a new direct service to Abu Dhabi, starting in the winter season 2026/2027.
Luxair will operate a weekly direct service between Luxembourg and Abu Dhabi starting on 26 October 2026, with the last return flight scheduled for 4 May 2027. Flights are already available to book.
The flight schedule operates in local times, with flight LG9015 departing Luxembourg every Monday at 07:00 and arriving in Abu Dhabi at 17:25, while flight LG9016 departs Abu Dhabi every Tuesday at 09:00 and arrives in Luxembourg at 14:00.
According to the airline, this launch further strengthens Luxair’s presence in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and complements its existing service to Dubai.
“Following the strong and consistent demand we have seen on our Dubai route since its launch in 2021, the addition of Abu Dhabi is a natural next step,” said Thomas Fischer, Chief Commercial Officer at Luxair. “The new route responds to growing customer demand for long-haul leisure travel during the winter season and provides our customers with an additional gateway to the region, further strengthening our overall network. Flights to Abu Dhabi will feature the same Business Class experience as on our existing Dubai route, including twelve dedicated seats and an enhanced catering offer, ensuring a premium travel experience throughout the journey. And for LuxairTours customers who have already been travelling to Abu Dhabi via our Dubai service, the direct connection is a real improvement, with notably shorter transfers and a more convenient travel experience,” he continued.
The announcement coincides with the launch of Festival Vakanz 2026 by Luxair and LuxairTours, which runs from Thursday 15 January to Sunday 1 February 2026 and includes special offers on package holidays and flight-only bookings.
