On Thursday 9 April 2026, Luxair announced its services to and from Italy will be impacted on Friday 10 April due to a nationwide strike by air traffic controllers scheduled to take place across Italy from 13:00 to 17:00.
According to Luxair, the following adjustments will apply:
Milan Linate
⁃ Flights LG6493 / LG6494 on Friday 10 April 2026 are cancelled. Affected passengers will be rebooked on an alternative flight on the same day or on the following day.
Pescara
⁃ Flights LG6723 / LG6724 originally scheduled for Friday 10 April 2026 will be operated on Saturday 11 April 2026.
Other flights
⁃ Delays may occur on flights to and from Bari, Venice, Bologna, Rome Fiumicino and Milan Malpensa on Friday 10 April 2026.
Luxair has also advised that further operational disruption and schedule adjustments cannot be excluded and said it will communicate any changes directly to affected Luxair customers using the contact details provided in their booking.
Passengers travelling to and from Italy on Friday 10 April are advised to check the latest status of their flight before travelling to the airport and to allow additional time, as longer waiting times may be expected.
Luxair apologised for any inconvenience that may result from circumstances beyond the airline's control and thanked passengers for their understanding.
