Luxair has confirmed that its flight LG 8255, operating from Luxembourg to Nice, returned to Luxembourg Airport on Thursday 22 January 2026, following a problem with the aircraft’s right-hand landing gear.
According to Luxair, the Dash 8-400 aircraft carried out an emergency landing following the problem, and after landing safely came to a stop on the runway. Appropriate procedures were then applied in accordance with safety regulations.
Luxair reported that the 74 passengers were disembarked and driven to the terminal by bus, where they are being taken care of. All passengers and crew are safe, and psychological support is being provided as needed.
The airline said the root cause of the incident will be thoroughly investigated in line with airline safety regulations.
