Luxembourg non-profit organisation SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde (SOSVEM) reported that it recently received a €4,504 donation from Franklin Templeton International Services Sarl (FTIS) through the Giving Tuesday 2025 solidarity campaign, with the funds supporting an educational project in Aït Ourir, Morocco.

According to the NGO, on Thursday 4 June 2026, Anne Schweizer, Partnership Manager at SOS Children's Villages World, visited FTIS for a cheque presentation ceremony and met with Craig Blair, Country Head, Katarzyna Majchrzak, Business & Operations Director, as well as employees who took part in the Lunch Food Event. The visit provided an opportunity to share updates on the educational project in Aït Ourir. Anne Schweizer discussed the progress of the construction works and highlighted the educational challenges facing the region, particularly for girls.

According to SOSVEM, the Giving Tuesday 2025 solidarity campaign raised more than €15,000 through general public support and initiatives organised by partner companies. Among them was FTIS, which continued its partnership with the NGO, first established ten years ago. On 10 December 2025, employees organised a Lunch Food Event in support of the campaign, raising €2,252. FTIS matched the amount, bringing the total donation to €4,504.

The funds are dedicated to an educational project in the town of Aït Ourir, Morocco. SOS Children's Villages Morocco launched the initiative in response to the devastating earthquake that struck the region in 2023. The project includes the construction of a co-educational secondary school for 500 pupils and a boarding facility for 50 girls. It aims to provide children with suitable learning conditions and ensure continued access to quality education, while offering vulnerable girls a safe and comfortable living environment. The new facilities are expected to welcome pupils at the start of the next school year.

Anne Schweizer thanked the FTIS team for its long-standing commitment and participation in the fundraising initiative. The NGO added that the Giving Tuesday campaign has raised approximately €43,000 since 2021 to support children affected by major crises in Madagascar, Colombia, Ethiopia and, over the past two years, Morocco.
