The Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO) has announced the launch of advance ticket sales for guided tours of the Grand Ducal Palace this summer.
From Thursday 17 July to Sunday 31 August 2025, the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg-Ville will once again open its doors to visitors, as part of the "Summer in the City" programme.
During these exclusive 75-minute guided tours, licensed tour guides from the City of Luxembourg (VdL) will "escort visitors through the elegant reception rooms, richly decorated salons and historic corridors of the palace". Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the Grand Ducal family, while experiencing the "unique atmosphere of an emblematic place".
The LCTO is organising up to ten daily tours in several languages. The starting point is the information office located in Place Guillaume II (Knuedler), from where the route begins to a location normally closed to the public.
As in previous years, the LCTO will donate a portion of ticket sales to the Fondation du Grand-Duc et de la Grande-Duchesse. This foundation, chaired by Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, has been committed to the social, cultural, educational and professional inclusion of disadvantaged people for over 40 years.
Tickets are now available for pre-sale online at luxembourg-city.com or directly at the LCTO reception desk in Place Guillaume II. Tickets cost €18 for adults and €9 for children aged four to twelve. Admission is free for children under four. Visitors with special needs are asked to contact the LCTO in advance via tel.: 222-809.
A body check will be carried out at the entrance; for security reasons, bags and luggage are not allowed inside the palace. Photography, food and drinks are also prohibited. Strollers (prams) must be left at the entrance, although babies may be carried during the visit. Pets are not permitted, except for assistance dogs.
